By installing or using SearchQuik, you agree to these terms and the privacy policy. If you do not agree, uninstall the app.
What the app is
SearchQuik helps you find files and installed apps on this PC. The search bar can also calculate, convert units, and convert currencies. Currency answers use public European Central Bank reference rates, as described in the privacy policy. The app is provided as-is for personal or internal business use on Windows devices you control.
Your files and folders
You are responsible for choosing folders you are allowed to search. Do not point SearchQuik at files you do not have rights to. The app does not grant extra permissions beyond what Windows already gives your user account.
Acceptable use
Do not use SearchQuik to break the law, to search other people’s private files without permission, or to interfere with Windows security features. Do not reverse engineer the app except where the law allows.
AI and third-party services
Optional AI uses a model you configure (local or an API key). Those providers have their own terms. Currency conversion requests public European Central Bank reference rates through Frankfurter; that request does not include your search text. SearchQuik is not responsible for third-party processing. Usage sharing, if you enable it, sends count-only events as described in the privacy policy.
No warranty
SearchQuik is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose or that search results will be complete. Indexing can skip files for safety or technical reasons.
Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, SearchQuik is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data arising from use of the app. Some regions do not allow these limits.
Store and updates
If you install from the Microsoft Store, Microsoft’s Store terms also apply. Updates may change features.
